Country Living Fair Austin, TX

Went to the fair for the first time.  It was so neat to see all the crafts and inspiration there.  I had not been to a arts n' craft fair in several years.  Got some ideas and just simply enjoyed the day off & spending it there.  I actually now would like to attend another craft fair soon.  Helps to get the mojo movin'!

Been Away TOO Long!

I just realized that I have been away from my blog for FAR TOO long!! Starting in May I want to make much more of a committed effort in regular blogging.  I have been extending my own dealine each month this year to get my Etsy shop going and now end of May is the new deadline.  This I plan to keep.  I have a few other art, business goals in mind too.
In the meantime, here are some pics of what I've been working on since my last posts :)

Sakura - Pen Touch

I have tried to find a white pen.  Gelly pens - hmmm...ok but can't get them to work sometimes.  Tried Permaopaque because I love what Effy Wild does with it in her  Book of Days class.  It worked but as the name implies - opaque effect and I wanted a bright white.
Went to the local art supply store and found the Sakura Pen Touch -- LOVE it! Didn't take long and I had bright white outlines on my journal entries.  It does act like a paint pen.  If you have used them you have to shake it and then push the nozzle up & down a few times to feed the paint down.  Once you do that I have had no issues.

New Classes in 2012!!

I always love the New Year - new beginnings & see what the new year holds for me. I wanted to do a class- and then I found a couple.
Effy Wild's Book of Days!! and Jan Fox's 52 Play Dates!!  This is perfect!!  I am excited about starting this & see where the journey takes me.   Happy 2012!!!

Hello! Happy New Year to everyone & a Great 2012!! Hope it is a wonderful, prosperous year full of love, creating, and all that is good for the soul! Hope to get back to some crafting soon.  Right now I have been busy working on painting my kitchen, etc.... Almost done with it & am Lovin' it!
