Dress Form - Black/Silver/Feathers/Rhinestone!! OH MY!

:) This was such a fun piece to make! The dress form is covered in handmade black and silver paper that has silver glitter subtly throughout it.  The bottom is covered in feathers and has a rhinestone trim.  This would be a great piece to hand jewelry on, have to add to decor of a dressing room, bedroom, clothing shop, etc....  It is for sale at my Etsy store - hercreativesoul - so please go and check it out! Etsy Shop OPEN!!

I DID IT!! Finally!! My online Etsy shop - hercreativesoul on Etsy is now OPEN!! I procrastinated, stress, doubted, on & on over this.....Definite feelings of inadequacy came out too but I am going for it! I am putting positive thoughts out into the universe of only good & GREAT things to happen!

Essence!!

Love that word! & this sketch! I was told I captured the "essence" of her & I believe that sums it up.  I sat down to challenge myself to a timed sketch like Tamara Laporte did in her video, she extended her time by 5 min I took oh say total of about 75 -90! Hehehe!! But I was feeling my mojo last night! Couldn't stop.  I think I will try to one put her on a canvas (see if I can recreate & improve upon) & 2nd try that whole timed, messing sketch thing again - but this time keep much shorter.

She is a face I did for the 29Faces challenge in May.  Loved how sketch turned out so much that I decided to turn into a canvas.   I enjoyed this so much - it was my first face like this on canvas.  I cannot wait to work on another one!

New Faces for 29 Faces Challenge

I really have decided to try something new for me in these faces! And I am LOVIN how they are turning out!  I truly find the work that Effy Wild does in Book of Days so inspiring so I thought let me see what I can do with what she shows/teaches us.  I am so grateful for her "mojo" because it really has got my creative juices & mojo of my own flowing! 29 Faces Challenge - May 2012

In the Book of Days with Effy Wild she posted about a challenge in May called 29 Faces .  I knew I needed to work on sketching more faces so I decided to take the challenge! I have enjoyed the first 5 days so much!! I cannot wait to look back at what I was able to complete in a month.  Plus, this goes along with what I believe Quantity = Quality.  I need to sketch more to become better & more confident.  I will start a new tab for 29 Faces but here are some of pics! Country Living Fair Austin, TX

Went to the fair for the first time.  It was so neat to see all the crafts and inspiration there.  I had not been to a arts n' craft fair in several years.  Got some ideas and just simply enjoyed the day off & spending it there.  I actually now would like to attend another craft fair soon.  Helps to get the mojo movin'!
