ROSE Painting - Work in Progress...

I worked on my painting this weekend that I am doing in my painting class.  I am LOVIN' how it is turning out especially after I stepped back from it and took a look.  Sometimes it is good to find a stopping point & then go back to your work either later in the day or even days later.   I am good with the progress I have made today & feel fine waiting to continue til class.  Now...onto another craft project!!

New Painting!!

Look what I started in my painting class!! I am lovin' the color & how it is progessing so far! This class is going to be tons of fun plus learning so much! I am so glad I decided to take it! More pics to come as it progresses!!  Sorry for the off color my phone doesnt take great pics :)

Painting Class!!

Its official!! I am registered for my 1st formal painting class!!  I am excited and nervous but cannot wait to get started! Last night was the first night & I have already picked up some tips!!  It is a community class offered by a local school district.  They have some truly great classes and the teachers are so nice & talented! I am glad I decided to do this.  I will have to post pics of how my painting progress.

The Artist's Way

I have read so many comments on HOW AMAZING this book is! & it is a MUST HAVE for any artist.  I finally bought myself a copy {{LOVE me some ebay right about now ;) }}  It came in the mail today & I cannot wait to delve into it!  I will keep you posted on the process & who knows prompts may come from it too---I see lots of them inside :)  Love "food that makes you think" Good for the soul!

New Canvas - In Progress

Lovin' how my newest canvas is working.  Was a little hesitant because had never sketched directly onto canvas and used color pencils.  Love my Prismacolor pencils and plan to use some Faber Castel pitt markers - LOVE LOVE them!!  Cannot wait to show the final result!
